EMT Psychomotor Exam Description
There are 5 stations available for/NREMT Practical Exam Testing: You must pass all 5 to complete the psychomotor portion of your certification testing. The stations that are tested are:
- Trauma Patient Assessment
- Medical Patient Assessment
- Airway Management
- Cardiac Arrest Management
- Random Skill Station (either Long Bone Immobilization/Joint Immobilization or bleeding control)
The New Britain EMS Academy is a host for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) practical exams as approved by the Connecticut Department of Public Health. All Connecticut practical examinations are tested to the latest version of the NREMT Skill Sheets.
Both initial and repeat examinations are offered monthly. Observation opportunities as exam victims/patients are also available at each test. Anyone testing for the first time or that has tested previously and failed 4 or 5 stations should register for an initial examination.
