BLS For Healthcare Providers
The American Heart Association BLS (CPR/AED) for Healthcare Providers course trains professionals with clinical responsibilities to provide lifesaving interventions to victims of cardiac and respiratory arrest. This course covers CPR and use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for adults, children, and infants. This certification is required for most healthcare providers working in patient care areas – for example, EMS personnel, physician assistants, physicians, dentists, nurses, respiratory therapists and others who must have a credential (card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course – and for students enrolled in medical and nursing programs.
If you have previously completed this course or its equivalent, check out our BLS Refresher courses.
