September is National Preparedness Month!

This month, join thousands of other Americans in developing a family plan to ensure your level of preparedness. “ In 2004, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) officially named September “National Preparedness Month”, in hopes of empowering civilians with the knowledge and awareness to minimize the threat of emergencies and disasters.”(FEMA)
Here in the greater Hartford area, the Capitol Region Emergency Planning Council (CREPC) have implemented citizen preparedness campaign and resources known as “Get Ready Capitol Region”.
